I Love It.

Pros: Reliable, Price, Power

I have 2 of these in my 40gal cube tank on an alternating controller. Just one would be powerful enough for the tank but I like to alternate the flow patterns. They work perfect and are very easy to clean. The magnet is strong and the suction cup is nice to keep it in place so it doesn't fall to the bottom of the tank when you remove one of the magnets. The only downside is the pivot which is a plastic ball in a rubber socket. I try to set them at opposing angles but they will only stay at a hard angle for a few minutes before drifting back towards the center a few degrees. They are still pointed in opposing directions but I wish the angles were a little better.

Very quiet, easy installation

Pros: Easy set up, quiet

Cons: None

It is very quiet and easy to install. It's been about 2 weeks since installation and so far no issues. Powerful enough for 26gal tank.

Great economical powerhead

Pros: Reliable and cheap

Cons: You don't get what you don't pay for... if you want aesthetics (no cords) and variable speed, then you just have to pay more. Not really a con, but...

Can't beat the price for the function and reliability of this pump. Run for years without barely any maintenance.

Works great and is quiet. Just wish I would have bought a more powerful pump.

Great Value Pump

Pros: Silent, Price, Easy Installation

Cons: None for the this price

I put this pump in my lagoon 25. I was debating between the 240 or the 425. I am glad I went with the 425 because the flow isn’t very strong for my saltwater tank. The 240 most likely wouldn’t have done much for my tank.

The pump is dead silent. It just gets the job done at a reasonable price.

Compared to other power heads I’ve had from Hydor this one is poorly made and I expect to toss it out - the magnetic holds fall apart and fail to hold the power head against the glass when moved even a tiny bit. Otherwise my quite extensive experience with Hydor has been excellent.

Great Pump

Pros: Reliable, silent

Cons: some minor pieces come a part too fast and are easy to lose

I bought this powerhead as a supplement for my 10 gallon IM Fusion 10 Nano tank. I run a Syncra Silent .5 pump with the Koralia. This powerhead is silent.. I gave it a 4 star because there is a small part you need to be careful not to lose when you take it a part. It's a rubber grommet that helps the powerhead stay silent. I lost it and now I have to be very careful in how I put the fishnt cover back on or else it will make sound. Also, the rubber covering over the rear magnet came off within 2 or 3 months of use. The magnet still works but ithe rubber cover came off too easily

Little and Quite

Pros: Quite, Easy

Cons: Not Adjustable

This was perfect for my Nano Reef Tank. Move enough water to keep some flow in the tank but doesn't blow around my fine sand.

Hydor Powerhead Review

Pros: Quiet operations

Cons: none so far

I love this powerhead! Bought one for my first nano tank (10 Gallon) and it worked perfectly so I bought the next size up for my larger project.
