Fully adjustable side-mounting Aquarium Cooling Fan
  • Low voltage (12v) for maximum safety when used near a wet environment.
  • Better than overhead fans: Side-mounted fan assembly to minimize water splash on the motor and to prevent accidental immersion.
  • Multi-directional discharge nozzle for precise air flow focus.
  • Fully adjustable, wide discharge nozzle for maximum cooling due to increased air/water contact.

Zoo med fan

Pros: cools well

It cools my tank buy a few degrees. It is NOISY though and very irritating. Will replace with something quieter soon.

Didn't even last a whole summer. A screw fell out from being stripped at the factory. The fan vibrated loudly unless you tapped on it after start. JUNK

Limited Impact on Temp

Pros: Small compact design

Cons: (1) The vent assembly tends to fall apart when first hanging the unit on the tank edge.(2) Getting noisy as its used more. (3) Limited cooling capacity.

I have (2) of these units on both ends of my 90 gal tank.
Along with the use of small muffin fans to circulate air its impact on tank temperature is minimal. Temperature readings reduce approximately 1 degree F after afew hours. This maybe marginally beneficial but not adequate for cooling a large tank. Fan noise has increased after a few months use, but I do not find this objectionable for now.

Good product

Works well with my 6 gallon nano. It'll be great for the summer, but cools a little too much in the fall.

Good while they last

I've had two of these and the fans work real good at cooling down your tank. The low form factor and adjustable nozzle are great. However after a few months two things happen: - The bearings in the fan start to wear out, resulting in a very noisy experience. From near silent to "Who is using a leaf blower in my fish room?" - The adjustable nozzle loosens up and stops holding position.

Works well but noisy

I bought this fan for my 55 gal tank and it worked marvelously. Unfortunately, it became very noisy after about a year. Starting up it sounds possessed then it settles to a constant hum!
